MAXINE NACHTIGAL LIAO

Maxine did a remarkable job transforming my small home into a much larger and enjoyable space. Understanding the personal value I hold in my home, she thoughtfully considered every detail of the renovation. Her genuine investment in the outcome created a trusted alliance between us.

Maxine Nachtigal Liao has been a residential architect in the Hamptons for over 25 years. She brings imagination and enthusiasm to all her projects with the goal of creating high-quality beautiful houses with timeless character. Whether it’s a new house or a renovation, a large or a small project, Maxine consistently provides her clients with thoughtful attention both to their concerns and to the completion of each project. Her intention is to help her clients realize their dream houses.

In 2014, Maxine presented a slide-show and talk on architecture at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, Long Island, and in the past few years, she has exhibited her work in several architecture shows in the Hamptons. She’s been interviewed on LTV television and has been included in newspaper and magazine articles featuring local architects. She has also taught at Southampton College.

Maxine received her Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute in 1979 and has been a licensed architect in New York State since 1983. She is the co-author of Built by Women, A Guide to Architecture in New York.
